When we decided to found Campotondo in 2000, in Campiglia d’Orcia there were no companies dedicated to the production of wine, but there was memory of a strong winemaking tradition of farmers who had produced “mountain” wines for centuries. The history of our family is the story of generations of farmers who have formed ancient and indissoluble bonds with the land. Giving life to Campotondo meant rediscovering these bonds and strengthening them to pay off the debts towards the land and those who cultivated it before us, handing it over to us intact and fertile.
