FERTUNA
In the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, between the green hills and the horizons that range towards the Tyrrhenian Sea, Tenuta Fertuna rises among its vineyards.
Designed by man with the utmost respect for the environment and for nature, the estate was purchased in 1997 and it counts 145 hectares, of which 50 are used for the cultivation of vines, 10 hectares are dedicated to olive groves.
The soil rich in Galestro (schist rock) and Alberese (calcareous substrate), the fertile and uncontaminated nature, the Mediterranean microclimate with a strong marine influence and a good day / night temperature range, make the Maremma a terroir particularly devoted to the cultivation of vines .
The name Fertuna, in fact, refers to the fertility of its land and the fortune of the men who cultivate it. The ancient Etruscan had developed their flourishing civilisation in this land, dedicating themselves to agriculture in centuries gone by. The estate is set up in an area highly devoted to viticulture, in a place where nature dominates, between wild and spontaneous vegetation, where men designed an amphitheatre of vineyards.
Tenuta Fertuna has created a special welcome for its guests in accordance with the quality of its products. In addition to the winery tour, you can take advantage of the splendid Villa and the beautiful garden that embraces it. The villa dates to the beginning of 20th century but acquired new splendour in 2009 when a redevelopment project started. The skilful restoration work, completed in 2017, has given new life to a beautiful environment.
Every wine-lover will be able to taste Fertuna wines combining with Tuscan cuisine, a good wine tasting experience in the wine shop for the knowledge of our labels, furthermore one can enjoy a moment of peace by sitting in the relaxation room or walking, with a good glass, in the garden Italian style. Two hectares characterised by a selection of fruit plants and flowers, mainly roses. At night the garden comes to life through evocative light effects that defines its shape.
Amorvino is the restaurant open to the public in Villa Fertuna. An elegant space, characterised by a large convivial table in the middle. Here you can enjoy traditional cuisine with a modern twist, al fresco dining in the summer.
In collaboration with Amorvino, we can organize a pic-nic lunch in our view point amongst the vineyards and olive trees. Price on request.
