TENUTA PAKRAVAN PAPI
Tenuta Pakravan-Papi
In 1973, Amineh Pakravan and her husband, Enzo Papi, originally from Iran and from Tuscany, purchased the first land that today constitutes Tenuta Pakravan-Papi. This property extends over 80 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and Mediterranean scrubland around Riparbella, an area renowned for its winemaking vocation. The estate, once known for the excellence of its wine, had been invaded by spontaneous vegetation, but Amineh and Enzo decided to revive this ancient tradition, applying new technologies and respecting the environment. They also restored two farmhouses from 1740, which today host a welcoming agriturismo.
The estate enjoys a unique microclimate, characterized by the mildness of the maritime climate that mitigates the cool winds from the north, creating ideal conditions for viticulture. Thanks to the Mediterranean sun and sea breezes, the vineyards thrive on complex and mineral-rich soils. In the valley to the north, clay supports Sangiovese, while in the center of the estate, on soils of effusive origin, Bordeaux vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grow.
Today, under the guidance of the second generation, represented by Leopoldo and Chiara, the estate produces award-winning white and red wines and continues to honor the family tradition, integrating modernity and respect for the Tuscan territory. Leopoldo’s wife, Francesca, a former MasterChef contestant, manages the estate’s restaurant, which offers a harmonious fusion of Tuscan and international dishes, drawing inspiration from the culinary tradition of Pellegrino Artusi to enhance authentic and creative flavors.
